This year’s Mission trip to Mexico is scheduled to take place from June 22 – June 27. The team will determine this year’s theme for the summer mission week at the first Mission Team meeting on February 23. Please make every effort to attend each of the monthly team building and preparation meetings. The teens will brainstorm to come up with a team theme at the first meeting.
Each summer, many of our high school students as well as adult members of our congregation spend a week working together to improve the living conditions for a family. In the past, they have gone to Houston to help a family whose home had been damaged by Hurricane Harvey as well as to Tijuana to build a house with Amor Ministries for a family there to have a place to call home. This summer, the plan is to go back to Mexico and work with Amor Ministries.
Throughout the year, we enjoy several fundraiser / fellowship events to help both raise the funds that affords our youth this meaningful and often life-changing opportunity and build relationships and fun memories among our inter-generational members.
Please pray for the teens and adults who will be traveling to Tijuana in late June to spend a week giving of their time and energy to help a family there have a home.
