The Second Great Awakening, roughly 1790s to 1840s, was a time of religious revival that greatly influenced U.S. culture at the time of the nation’s legal founding. Christians influenced the young democracy even as democratic values influenced American theology, and the movement gave birth to several new religions. Church Historian Christina Littlefield Eng will explore this movement over the next six weeks.

Archives: Gifts In The Church Study
During the month of January, 2004, the Conejo Valley Church adult education program engaged in a study of Gifts in the Church. Rick Marrs, longtime elder of the Conejo Church and professor of Old Testament at Pepperdine University, reviewed the biblical and historical context of the roles of men and women in their faith communities.
Due to the level of interest expressed regarding these classes, we have made them available both in audio and PDF formats. If you are interested, click here.
