Adult Bible Classes

Live Sunday morning Bible classes for all ages meet each week at 9am. Beginning on January 14, there will be  two class options for our adults.

North Overflow Room. Bill and Melissa Foster host a wonderful class for the families who have children still living at home.

Auditorium Class. Starting January 14, Christina Littlefield Eng will lead the adult auditorium class through a 12-week church history series using Mark Noll’s text “Turning Points: Decisive Moments in the History of Christianity.” Noll and his co-authors, David Komline and Han-luen Kantzer Komline consider critical moments that shaped the faith, the church and the larger society. Like the great parade of saints in Hebrews 11, studying the key people who have led the faith can help us better see the transformational power of God at work in the lives of human beings and help us all better follow Jesus Christ today.

Small Group Ministry

Our small group ministry has groups that meet around the Conejo Valley and beyond–some in person, some via Zoom. These groups meet for a variety of purposes including prayer, Bible study, fellowship, service, mentoring, and outreach.

Youth Group Meetings

There are many opportunities for our teens to gather for study, fellowship, and service.

Weekly Sunday Morning Bible Classes: Meet at our church building in the teen room at 9am each Sunday morning. They are currently studying the gospels in a series called “Eyes to See.”

Weekly Sunday Evening Devo and Dinner: On Sundays (5:30-7:30pm), the youth group gathers either at someone’s house or at the church building to have a time of hanging out together, sharing a meal, digging into a thematic Bible study, and prepare for the upcoming week by meeting with their core group of friends at church.

Friends and Family Outreach: every 6-8 weeks, the church does some type of event and encourages members of the congregation to invite friends who are not part of the congregation to a fun venue. This allows teens and adults the opportunity to introduce their friends from school or work to friends at church.

Crafty Women

One Sunday per month (for exact dates, please watch the Family News or the calendar on the website), take an afternoon to gather with other CVCC women at the church building; deepen friendships; and make progress on craft projects and hobbies.

Monday Night Women’s Bible Study (Class via Zoom)

Join a group of Conejo women via Zoom each Monday at 7pm throughout the academic school year to pray, encourage one another, engage in study and discussion together. They will begin a new book study, The Body Broken by Jack Reese, on March 11.

If you are interested in participating, please contact the church office (office@conejochurch.org) or Paula M. for a link for the weekly meeting.

Monday Night Guys’ Group

The focus of this group is on fellowship in all its forms (eating, reading, praying, studying the Word and Christian writings). The group meets at the home of T.J. Reynolds on Mondays from 6:00pm until 7:30pm.

This fall, the Guys’ Group is studying Timothy Keller’s book, “The Prodigal God: Recovering the Heart of the Christian Faith.”

Strangers to Neighbors

A gathering for young adults (ages 18-30) to enjoy a space of authentic community together in Jesus’ name, where we go from strangers to neighbors. Plus, there’s dessert!

This group meets from 8-9pm the 2nd and the 4th Tuesdays each month at the home of Nick and Joy Zola.

Fifth Commandment Small Group (Prayer and Support Gathering via Zoom)

The fifth commandment tells us to “Honor your father and mother.” How do we do that in our adult lives as our parents age, face health challenges, and live hundreds or even thousands of miles away? We don’t have all of the answers, but if these questions resonate, you might want to join us via Zoom for the “Fifth Commandment” group. We meet the last Tuesday of each month to share concerns and challenges regarding our aging parents. We pray for and support one another through the journey.

Because we were unable to meet in December, we will meet i early and late January for prayer and support. Meeting dates in January include both January 9 and January 30.

Flourishing Families

Marriage and parenting can be challenging! Join us as we share the journey of loving God, each other, and our neighbors in our homes and families. Crafted with families and parents in mind. Separate class / activity for kids led by parent / adult volunteers (on a rotating basis).

This group meets Wednesdays from 6:15-7:30pm at the home of Andy and Carrie Wall.

Life Group at the Reynolds

Meetings resume on January 17.

This group gathers for Christ-centered conversations, Bible Study, and prayer over dessert and coffee. The group also enjoys a monthly potluck together.

The group meets at the Reynolds home on Wednesdays from 6:45-8pm to check in with one another and engage in discussion and prayer. If you would like to be more information about this group, please contact the church office (office@conejochurch.org).

Conejo Elementary Tutoring Program

Members of our congregation volunteer to assist children at the neighborhood school improve their skills in reading and math. This takes place on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30pm (from early October through late April).

Life Group At the Fosters’

Small Group this fall will consist of a series of Paul’s letters where narrative accounts by Bible personalities introduce Paul’s letters to the Church followed by group study and discussion.

The group currently meets weekly at the Fosters on Thursdays from 7-8:30pm. All ages and family stages are welcome. Refreshments and beverages provided. Please contact Bill or Melissa regarding the current study.

Moms Better Together

Moms of all ages and life stages are invited to participate in this wonderful new ministry at Conejo. The group meets at the church building on the third Friday of each month from 5:45-7:45pm to share a meal, conversation, and deepen friendships with other moms in the congregation. Whether you are a new mom or a well-seasoned mom, you are invited to come encourage and be encouraged.

Saturday Guys’ Golf Outing

Hit the links for 9 holes of golf plus breakfast afterwards. A great way to connect and get better acquainted with brothers in the Lord. Contact David R. to get onto the email list and each week you will receive a notice with tee times and have the opportunity to join in.

Hiking Trails Ministry

Hikers of all levels are welcome. The focus of this group is fun, faith, fitness, friendship, and fellowship while enjoying the beautiful gifts that God has given us in the wilderness that surrounds us.

Hikes are planned for the 3rd Saturday of each month (unless otherwise notified). Contact Lynn B. or Jon B. with your questions.
