Adult Bible Classes

Live Sunday morning Bible classes for all ages meet each week at 9am. We currently have two class options for our adults.

Auditorium Class. Matt Joyner is leading a class titled “Faith, Imagination, and the Natural World: Scientific Reflections on God and Our Universe.” Science is sometimes unnecessarily pitted against faith, creating false dichotomies between the two.  This class will seek to provide accurate, scientific information about the physical world and human biology while examining the interplay of these scientific ideas with our personal faith in Jesus Christ and how we understand the Bible.

North Overflow Class. Connie Horton is teaching a fall class titled “Raising Resilience.” The class will discuss real-life concerns and practical strategies to help children, teens, and young adults grow up equipped to become resilient adults. Discussion will also include how to raise our own levels of resilience and how to faithfully and confidently navigate the storms of life that come at all life stages and situations. All are welcome.

Small Group Ministry

Our small group ministry has groups that meet around the Conejo Valley and beyond–some in person, some via Zoom. These groups meet for a variety of purposes including prayer, Bible study, fellowship, service, mentoring, and outreach.

Youth Ministry Meetings

There are many opportunities for our teens to gather for study, fellowship, and service.

Weekly Sunday Morning Bible Classes: Meet at our church building in the teen room at 9am each Sunday morning. They are currently studying the a topical series called “Most Likely To…,” in which they will discuss leadership.

Resilient Living: On select Sunday evenings, students in the youth ministry gather at the building from 5:30-7pm for a series with Tim and Connie Horton entitled “Resilient Living.” This class will take place on the following Sunday evenings through the remainder of 2024: October 13 and 27, November 10 and 17, and December 1.

Monday Night Guys’ Group

The focus of this group is on fellowship in all its forms (eating, reading, praying, studying the Word and Christian writings). This fall, the group is reading and discussing the book “Coreology: Six Principles for Navigating Election Season without Losing Our Witness.”

The group meets at the home of T.J. Reynolds each Monday evening beginning at 6:30pm. For additional information, please contact the church office at office@conejochurch.org.

Monday Night Women’s Bible Study (Class via Zoom)

Be a blessing and be blessed by a multi-generational community of women. As well as spending time studying, we share what is going on in our lives and pray together. We also periodically meet together for dinner in person. All Conejo women are welcome!

The meetings begin each Monday at 7pm. If you need the Zoom Link for this meeting, please contact the church office at office@conejochurch.org.

Fifth Commandment Small Group (Prayer and Support Gathering via Zoom)

The fifth commandment tells us to “Honor your father and mother.” How do we do that in our adult lives as our parents age, face health challenges, and live hundreds or even thousands of miles away? We don’t have all of the answers, but if these questions resonate, you might want to join us via Zoom for the “Fifth Commandment” group. We meet the last Tuesday of each month to share concerns and challenges regarding our aging parents. We pray for and support one another through the journey.

Flourishing Families

Marriage and parenting can be challenging! Join us as we share the journey of loving God, each other, and our neighbors in our homes and families. Crafted with families and parents in mind. Separate class / activity for kids led by parent / adult volunteers (on a rotating basis).

This group meets Wednesdays from 6:15-7:30pm at the home of Andy and Carrie Wall.

Life Group at the Reynolds

This group gathers for Christ-centered conversations, Bible Study, and prayer over dessert and coffee. The group also enjoys a monthly potluck together.
