Earlier this summer, about 30 members of our congregation joined together for an evening prayer walk around Thousand Oaks. We began with a quote from N.T. Wright, “The Church should be in prayer where the world is in pain.” As we walked, we tried to do just this, praying for schools like Conejo Elementary, those living in apartment complexes, businesses along T.O. Boulevard, first responders like those at Fire Station 31, and the ministry of Many Mansions among the poor. Our thanks to Jack Williamson and Travis Moore for their leadership on this project. May the Lord continue to guide us to be instruments of peace and justice in our community.
