We are thankful to be present with one another and in community again. We invite all to recommit to being present with this church family for Bible classes and worship on a weekly basis in 2025. Your presence, thoughts, journey of faith, and encouragement matter to this body of believers! Masks are welcome but not required. We look forward to worshiping, learning, serving, and growing as a part of Christ’s family in the Conejo Valley this year. Let’s make commitment to God and God’s community a priority this year.

Crafty Women. CVCC Women of all ages are invited to spend 4-6 hours together once per month at the church building. Enjoy an extended time of deepening friendships with one another while making progress on current craft project(s) or hobbies of choice.

The next Crafty Women Event of 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, beginning at 11am.

Hiking Trails Ministry. The Conejo Hiking Trails Ministry hikes every 8 to 10 weeks in the Ventura County area. Hikers of all levels are welcome. The focus is fun, faith, fitness, friendship, and fellowship while enjoying the beautiful gifts that God has given us in the areas that surround us.

Details for each hike will be shared through the weekly Family News bulletin and through the CVCC FB page.

Children’s Ministry Valentine’s Day Activities. Our CVCC children are leading the church in an effort to provide loving notes to senior citizens in our area. All ages are invited to join them in the Children’s Worship area and playground to create notes of encouragement. Or, if you prefer to make cards at home to share, please be sure to get your creations to Amber by Sunday, February 8. Everyone benefits from words of love and encouragement!

Bowls of Hope. Mark your calendars! The Fifth Annual Bowls of Hope Painting Party to support Many Mansions will be scheduled soon to take place at the CVCC building. Each person will paint a bowl that will be glazed, fired, and displayed at Many Mansions’ upcoming fundraising event.  This is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon helping others while having fun with friends and creativity!

HS Winter Retreat. Members of the youth group who are currently in grades 8-12 are invited to a weekend in Big Bear for rest, group building, and spiritual refreshment. This year, the retreat is set for Friday, January 23 through Sunday, January 25. This weekend will include devotionals, community-building, snow tubing, hiking, bowling, and exploring Big Bear Village.

Our theme this year is “Calling & Response”—exploring how God calls us, how our gifts and personalities shape our journeys, and how we can faithfully respond in our current season of life.

40-Day Spiritual Adventure. Each year, we take the 40 days leading up to Easter to focus more on service and sacrifice as we prepare for the celebration of Easter. This year’s 40-Day adventure begins on Sunday, February 22.

Ideas for specific ways to engage more deeply in service or personal reflection during the days leading to Easter will be available through the 40-Day Commitment Sheet (by February 22).
