Conejo Valley Youth Ministry
The mission of the Conejo Valley Youth Ministry is to encourage and equip young people to become lifelong Christ followers through coming to know Jesus, learning to follow Him, and living to serve others.
Our goal is to inspire them to develop a genuine curiosity and love for reading the Bible, while equipping them with the tools and understanding they need to engage with Scripture meaningfully. We believe that by fostering a robust understanding of the Bible’s message and teaching them how to apply its wisdom to their daily lives, we can empower our youth to live out their faith with confidence and authenticity. Ultimately, we hope to see them not just grow in knowledge, but also take responsibility for their spiritual journey and actively practice their faith in every aspect of life.
We currently have many opportunities to meet together, including weekly Bible classes and devotional gatherings, as well as regular events throughout the year.
Weekly Meetings
Sunday Morning Bible Classes
9-10am in the CVYM classroom.
Currently, the teens are going through a series on Luke-Acts to get a big-picture view of Jesus’ life, work, and ministry — and what it looks like for the church to carry on Jesus’ mission in the world today.
Sunday Evening Devos
5:30-7pm at the Paige Lane Neighborhood Park
Café Conejo Youth
Join us at “Cafe Conejo Youth” where we transform the church building into an open-mic cafe & lounge for our inaugural mission trip fundraiser event! The event runs from 5:30-8pm on October 11th at CVCC. Come hungry and ready to witness some amazing performances! Student Retreats
Our student retreats attempt to make positive memories with and four our young people and tie those positive times and memories to Christ. Student retreats are also a time to provide a time to build relationships with one another and grow to understand, praise, and adore God on a more intimate level in an age-specific setting.
IMPACT Retreat
IMPACT is a retreat for students in grades 6 through 8. It is a great time to get away and grow closer to God and to friends from churches all over Southern California. Many of these students meet during summer camps and have a wonderful reunion and spiritual renewal in early November. There have been a few years (particularly during COVID) when this retreat has not happened, but it is a truly amazing opportunity for our middle school students and their spiritual journey with friends and mentors. We hope that it will be back on the schedule in 2026 for Middle School students throughout Southern California.
HS Winter Retreat
We are excited for our High School (8th-12th grade) Youth Group Winter Retreat this year, which will be in collaboration with youth groups throughout the SoCal area! Mark your calendars for January 22–24, and get ready for another opportunity to meet new friends and reconnect with others from Teen Camp! We’re typically in Big Bear for this retreat, with activities ranging from community-building and devotionals to snow tubing, hiking, and bowling.
